Most of the controls for our Panasonic recorder/player are on the remote control. The original remote has become less useful over the years as an increasing number of keys have stopped working. The replacement remote works exactly as I remember the original one doing when it was new. Very satisfied with purchase and wish I done it earlier to save frustration.

My DVD is at least 9 years old, but the supplier claimed to have a new manufacturer-built remote available, and so it proved to be.
