Initially I contacted the company to see if the smart remote would work with my Samsung tv which came with a non-smart remote. I received a prompt and positive reply. I then ordered it and it arrived on time as promised. It worked perfectly. For the record, I needed to make adjustments to peripheral attachments and the tv menu demanded use of a smart remote.
