Q. Visa - Card-not-present security. For transactions over the phone & internet.

A. When a Visa card is not present during a transaction, we make use of various card verification services to authenticate and protect the transaction. Card-not-present (CNP) transactions take place in many situations, such as e-commerce, mobile commerce and mail order/telephone order. Visa cards are ideal for such payments, offering flexibility, ease of use and convenience. As with all forms of Visa payments, security is a crucial part of its success. We have three solutions to authenticate such transactions: Card Verification Value 2 (CVV2) Often referred to as the ‘card security code’. This is the three-digit security code on the reverse of every Visa card – either on, or to the right of, the signature panel. Verified by Visa This is our e-commerce security solution. It is a password-protected identity checking system that has been designed to counter online fraud. Address Verification Service (AVS) This system verifies a cardholder’s billing address.

A. YES, We only retail brand new stock.

Q. What is the Model Number?

A. This can be either the model number of your equipment, which is usually found on the rear of the equipment. OR The remote controls model number which is usually found under all the buttons at the base of the remote, if it is not here then look in the battery compartment. Some remote controls will not have a model number then you should refer to the model number of your audio visual equipment.

Q. What is an alternative replacement remote control?

A. Alternative Replacement Remote Controls are functionally equivalent to originals but may appear physically different in looks and design. Where possible, the manufacturers of alternative replacements will try to layout the keys similar to that of the originals but there may be occasional differences in position. The cases and technology of alternative replacements are designed to a very high standard to meet the high demands of the professional audio-visual servicing industries. The cases tend to be robust designs with button and label printing designed to last. The main advantages of alternative replacement type remotes are lower cost and availability they are manufactured and stocked on a larger scale than originals. The economies of scale involved mean that replacements (what we call Alternative Remote Controls) can be offered at a price usually less than that of the originals with almost immediate dispatch from point of order.
